Summary of latest Action
It has been the most consistent month so far this year! Reflecting possibly in the good stable weather we are getting!Matches
have been dominated by large carp with many weights coming from the marginal areas.Groundbait seems to be playing an integral
part of attracting fish not only in the margins but short pole also. Worms,maggots and casters are becoming key also as the
rise in air temperature could signal a spawning period!!!! Pleasure fishing reports are very good with the canal pool being
a favourite for the junior anglers.Pellets and meat appear to be the most used baits on most pools to catch both the carp
and silvers.Top Weight came from Maltby man Brian Sullivan with 156lb 10oz off Moat Island peg 9

Last Week's summary
The start to the week was slow with the couple of early morning frosts we had and the weekend saw a remarkable upturn
in weights and catches.Top weight of the week was Steve Clark from Croft peg 27 with 75lb 14oz. Tactics are starting to vary
with some short pole and margin catches!(Sunshine,warmth and high air pressure possible reasons) Baits still remain the
same with pellets being key to carp weights and maggots/casters for silvers.

Last week's summary
This week has shown an improvement in winning weights, topped by Steve Clark from Bridge Island 23 with 97lb 2oz.
The larger resident carp have started to show an appearance with specimens upto 18lb being caught. Successful baits continue
to be pellets and maggots , but corn and meat legered on a hair-rig is also paying dividends.
On the club front, local
anglers Bryden AC had a match on Canal Pool and the winning weight was a splendid 94lb from peg 1.The week concluded with
the 1st in the series of the ever popular Leegem League.The winning weight on the day came from Gordon Gibson from moat outer
27 with 54lb.

Last Week's Summary
This last week has followed a similar trend to the previous one, in that the cold overnight temperatures
slowed sport down for the preceding days.However, there were still some reasonable weights topped by Neil Vernon's
64lb 6oz from Bridge Outer peg 35. Dominating baits have still been expander pellet over micro feed for carp and maggots
and casters for the silverfish.With the clarity of water long pole has remained esssential.Croft pool has shown the first
real signs of consistency with pleasure catch reports of good nets of fish.

Last week's summary
The weather and temperatures this week have been very indifferent and the past week's results reflect on
this.
The cold water temperatures still means the fish are tightly shoaled (especially the carp). However, those fortunate
enough to locate them have enjoyed some good sport.
Long Pole with expanders over micro feed have caught the majority
of the larger species(carp and bream)with bomb and meat/corn also being successful. This weeks top match weight
came from Maltby angler Brian Sullivan from Moat Island peg 61 (73lb 0oz).
Those anglers adopting a silverfish approach
have found success with both the skimmers,bream and roach, with maggot ,caster and groundbait proving to be a winner.
